Our Mission

The Texas Saltwater Fishing Hall of Fame is a non‑profit organization established to honor Texas fishermen whose achievements and contributions have significantly shaped the world of saltwater angling. Our mission is to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Texas saltwater fishing through recognition, research, and education.

We celebrate excellence across several categories: Big Game Fishing, Offshore Fishing, Inshore Fishing, and Outstanding Achievements. Each inductee represents a legacy of skill, dedication, and stewardship that has helped define saltwater fishing in our state.

Our long‑term vision is to create a permanent headquarters and Heritage Museum—an enduring home where the accomplishments of past, present, and future inductees can be honored. This institution will serve as a source of pride for families, descendants, and the youth of Texas, inspiring future generations and preserving a benchmark of excellence for all Texans.
